How can I switch the Shifter Thread Pattern?
I have a C's shifter with an Unsual thread pattern on top.it is just a little bigger than the S4 stock thread.
I was wondering if anyone had an idea as how to change it to an S5 Thread pattern.I was thinking to Grind some metal off the Threads and retap it,but I don't want to just do it By Eye..
anyone help me?Thanks,STYX.

You can't do this "by eye", if you haven't the tools to measure, find someone who does.
This will put the **** much higher on the shift lever.

Ya,i don't want to make the shifter higher.
I guess I am going to take it to a machine shop and have them put an S5 Thread pattern on the shifter. The old thread pattern is not really suitable to swap out shift *****.At least if I get the s5 thread pattern on the Shifter it will be easier to swap out. Thanks CLOKKER..Styx.
