Wow, I didn't imagine I'd get so many responses just because the fuel gauge sucks, the fuel light is broken, and I'm a moron. For an originally funny post, I think I've actually learned a few helpful little tricks and whatnot... Thanks all.

My best is 31.8 Hightway in my 88. I have an MSD and 8.8 plug wires, I did the MAF mod in reverse (leaned it out until I herard a knock, then I richened it up a bit). I did that after I advanced the timing 8 degrees (same thing). It was fully synthetic slick stuff. E-fan. Custom exhaust (muck better econ if you keep you foot out of it). and a ported intake manifold with K&N. It is also lowered one inch.
A completly different story in my 86. 22 hyw in that bitch. Both are n/a. and the 86 has a simliar list, except for the MAF, and the exhaust is much bigger and no cat. And I can't seem to make her go the speed limit, or reach it at an easy pace. plus the TB mod and wired aux ports.
I have learned that you can add acetone to your fuel and gain up to 35% mpg. I don't want to get into details, you can research it yourself.

Yes, I dont think anyone noticed my post above, but I am getting 7.5 - 10 mpg on an N/A ... surely this sparks the attention of some people to help me sort out my problems lol?
I must have a fuel leak on the return line is what im thinking :P

My dad reported when he drove down to KY from Indy that he got about 26mpg in my AE.... He drives like a grandpa.... so I believed him. I usually get about 20 or so factoring in a fair amount of boosting. Isn't it nice to have a brand new car/engine?

I do pretty good
I have gotten 26 on the highway & 18.5 city pretty consistently. I have a '88 SE/NA with just intake & exhaust. Those numbers seem to be the same as I got stock BTW. I seem to get best MPG around 80MPH. Oh I forgot... my O2 sensor wire is just hangin'.. not connect to anything.

Well, ramses, same exact car with same mods as me...Which means you'd probably be getting what I'm getting (27.6 mpg with today's fillup) if you fixed the O2 sensor

Try this, get a gas can and put a gallon of fuel in it and 1 oz of acetone. Then to to the parts stor and buy one foot of the cheapest fuel line they have. Cut it in half and place one half in the gas can. Leave it there for as long as you want. Check it every day if you want. compair it to the other peice. It will last as long as the hoses on your car. And this is even at a higher ratio than they recomend for your gas tank. They say 2-3 oz per 10 gallons of gas.

Aeromatic Hydrocarbons are one of the hardest fluids on polymers. There is one polymer out there called Parylene that is resistant to any chemical attack with the exception of Alpha Chloro Napthelene at 175C, whick only softens the polymer. The moisture barrier is is only compromised by......Aeromatic Hydrocarbons. Else I would've been a millionaire via Detroit. My point is Gas is really harder on polymers than most other chemicals including acetone.
