How to build a small cowl... and what to use?

in the picture below you see a hole in my hood.... what could i use to build a small cowl on it so that it draws in some air... ive seen these before but it looks like some flimsy plastic i wouldnt mind it if it works... how do you make it?

The NACA submerged duct is very efficient.

If you have a good mathematics and fabrication background you can make one yourself. (Despite what you see written, this report is unclassified):

Or you can do it the easy way and just buy one pre-made and simply blend it into the hood:

Wow, that guy drives worse than me, lol. It sure looks like he is having fun though.

It's not very clear in that video, but it looks like a marine clam shell or cowl vent. Check your local marine supply shop.

he has a bad *** car though, its a 20b na.... and the dude is like 7 feet tall in a small *** fd... and when u hear it in person, its loud as hell
