how mine turned up is irregardless. in fact i had to rebuild mine 3 times before it was good to go, due to electrolysis around the spark plugs. apparently someone ran it on straight water for some time.
finding all the small problems is what caused me to feel that much more comfortable with the engine rebuilding process.
it's often the things you can't see that get you.

Sorry. Couldnt help myself.
Yea, and I think I see a bit of edge flake. Reverse the seals and find some turbo exhaust sleeves. Good to go. I still think if you had got the apex slot clear and good, that rotor wouldn't be junk. Don't ditch it just yet.
Irregardless originated in dialectal American speech in the early 20th century. Its fairly widespread use in speech called it to the attention of usage commentators as early as 1927. The most frequently repeated remark about it is that “there is no such word.” There is such a word, however. It is still used primarily in speech, although it can be found from time to time in edited prose. Its reputation has not risen over the years, and it is still a long way from general acceptance. Use regardless instead.

And when it comes to the rotor, i'm not chancing it, s4 n/a rotors can be found cheap enough for cheap insurence

Well started cleaning looking at the rear iron, and need to add it to the list also, gotta scratch that made my dial indicator move almost .005" and it really catches a finger nail, about 3 inches in length. I remember when this engine was running, every once in awhile it would puff out some blue smoke, that would account for it
I have a pic of it but the phone app sucks **** and won't upload it, i'll have to transfer it to my computer
edit: pic added

well, I found a rear iron (thanks again thatman) and I'm tempted to try and clean up the rotor I phucked up. How should I go about it? Obviously a file(s) I don't want to try and pry it any because I don't wanna bend it worse. Should I try and fill in the little gouge I have with JB? its not really at a pressure point I don't believe, just looking for suggestions cause spring is coming, I'm itching to drive and work on the car, but funds are tight, so if I could just go with saving this rotor and getting a rebuild kit, rather put the money towards that if I have that option
I'm not going crazy with it, just a stock n/a, want to make sure I CAN rebuild it, than I may have a little fun with the motor thats in the car now

I still think if you cleaned up the slot good it would be OK. Not ideal, but OK. Probably never know it when it's running. A file is fine but it's best to be careful. Keep it as true as you can to the slot and don't roll the edge or wash it more than the seals have done already.

I'll see what I can try and do, I don't know what thickness files I have at work, gotta mic them out to be safe.
I did a really random thing and I used JBWeld to fill in scratches on a OLD lawnboy 2 stroke engine, the thing runs, but it was also filled below the piston rings. I almost wonder where my ***** is if I could carefully fill that in, than sand it down. JBweld strength is "supposed" to be 3000psi of pressure, but of course while sanding that down I may sand down on the rotor face, so I'm not sure if its worth trying
