Im going to attach a graph of the voltage readings over time of a Hotwire AFM and a vane type AFM (what we have)

Now vane, ok, so both of the graphs look very similar , the hot wire one is a lil mores spkiy, but to my point; Wh cant we make a hotwire AFM with a 5v referance voltage work? it should almost be a direct swap, with maybe a little circuitry to smooth out the hotwires signal, other than that, they both increase linearly based on the amount of air, and if both have a 5v referance signal, whats the problem?

The problem is ignorance. It's been done in Japan a number of times already.
