Is This The Hot Start Problem I'm having?
Over the past 2-3 months sometimes when I go into a store after a drive and won't start. It's turning over, but - it's sort of unpredictable)
I let the car idle down for at least 30 secs anytime I'm getting ready to shut down and longer if I've been boosting or just getting off the freeway.
What's the problem and what can I do to alleviate it? It's kind of embarrassing sometimes. thanx...
p.s. I have about 65k on the engine

That is usually a sign of one of 3 things.
1. Low compression - older motors
2. Leaking injectors
3. ECU problem
I think it is a bad ECU personally. Not bad like you need to replace it, but bad design from Mazda. I know people that have replaced their injectors with new ones, and rebuilt their motors, and it still had the hot start problem!!
I would just install a fuel cut off switch and be happy personally.
