Hot Start idle problem *Vid inside*
Hot Start idle problem *Vid inside*
Here is a video of the engine starting up right after been shut off. It fires up but seems to be choking or something. Notice how when the oil pressure reaches around the 4 mark the engine smoothes out and idles properly, could it be oil pressure?

wouldn't really worry about it, it's only for a few seconds that the mixture is off. the ECU has a preset map that it runs on for about 20 seconds after startup which is richer than the normal fuel maps.
oil pressure is normal and has nothing to do with what you're seeing.

hm.. i started the engine cold today and quickly shut it off then restarted it while it was still cold and it started perfectly fine... only when the engine is in running temperatues does it start bad. So it couldn't be the restart?
already stated the car has a preset fuel map for after start.
it's not a problem, i'm not sure why you feel it really is. if you do think so then you should sell the car and go buy a brand new one.
the car is 20 years old, the wiring and sensors are just as old and the engine is also worn, the ECU was programmed when the car was new FOR the engine and electronics in full 100% new condition. if you start digging into this problem you will probably just find you wish you hadn't of bothered for a 15 second slightly rich running condition when only warm and be thankful it isn't a lean running issue which would cause the car to start irregularly instead of just fine like yours.
if you really feel like investigating, start with the accelerated warmup system, check for vacuum leaks, change the spark plugs, check ignition base timing, adjust the TPS and adjust the variable resistor.
