Hot Exhaust
How hot does the exhaust get for an 88 N/a???? I'm asking the question because my bumper gets burnt by the muffler?? I'm getting the muffler realigned, but i just want to know if its suppose to get that hot. I say its 100+ degrees, because i can't leave my finger on it for 2 secs.

Be careful with the exhaust pipe man! ^_^ I'm not sure what temp it's going to be at, but regardless it's hot enough to leave a really really bad burn on you. There are stuff out there to protect your paintjob frm the hot exhaust gases but they're very very ricey. *silver reflective with adhesive backing sheet* Don't worry about it too much, just remember to have the pipe sticking out enough from the bumper so the gases don't 'trail' on the bumper. That's the only thing I think that will really help.
Peace,

I guarantee it gets MUCH hotter than 100 degrees Fahrenheit! My gues would be upwards of 500-1000 degrees. You'd **** if you took off your shift boot and drove around for a week. Especially in the summer! I did it with no A/C. People that rode in my car were amazed how hot the shifter got from the exhaust directly below.
