Hot engine temps messing with the BAC/idle. also asian bruce willis

Have a quick question. so due to my car being fairly low, the heat-wrapping from the header(custom sdj header) has been torn and is falling apart (kinda looks like cartoonish-mummy wrapping now) and is getting quite hot(obviously)

here is the question, and my reasoning behind it. would the high header temps mess with the BAC/idle? i notice when on a short drive(fully reaching operating temps) my idle does not stray from 700-800(monster streetport) but after a longer highway drive(around 20 miles) it will kind of wiggle? or flutter a little bit, and settle around 150 lower and not really hold a super steady idle. anywhere from 650-700

also, please enjoy this japanese bruce willis, as my thanks for any input.

Really grasping at straws eh? No, exhaust heat won't effect idle.

not sure what you mean with the "grasping at straws" thing

and I know it wouldn't directly effect idle, i was just wondering if a glowing header would mess with the BAC, and the BAC messing with idle.

I was joking/exaggerating

the header doesn't glow, but is still getting a fair bit hotter than a stock manifold.

what would cause the idle to be a tad different after a longer drive?

Air temp sensor under UIM. If you have the stock one, get rid of it and get a fast reacting IAT (intake air temp sensor).

It's possible that your short drives are really not warming up the engine as fully as it can be warmed and that the 20 mile drive on the highway achieves a fully warmed engine. So, you need to adjust the TPS and idle after these 20 mile drives and not before so. And the tach is not the most easy gauge to read as its needle is as least 100 rpm wide so there's an element of variance there.
