hose on back of engine

hose on back of engine

does anybody know what the hose on the back of the engine(passenger side) is?

mines not there

should it be?

So? Where does the other end head to??? Connect to a metal pipe with mushroom looking checkvalve and then head down and back towards the muffler//?// Split air pipe hose in that case.
