horsepower figures....

just wondering what the stock horsepower is on a turbo II. does it vary at all between years? less power for an 86 than a 91 for example? or is it the same for all years of turbo II's? just wondering. might help to know this when i'm looking for a turbo II to buy. thanks!

S4 (87-88) have 182
S5 (89-91) have 200

But remember that the S5 weighs more so the cars are almost exactly even, speed-wise(the S5 does have a slight edge).

S4-15.2
S5-14.9

There have been people that have gotten the S4 lower than 15.2 I've heard; haven't heard anything about the S5.

By all accounts, S4 and S5 TIIs are dead even through the quarter-mile. Magazine numbers aren't worth the paper they're printed on. I've tested this empirically - I have and 89 TII and my buddy has an 87 TII. No matter how we ran 'em, we were dead even, all the time.

Bone stock, I made 175rwhp/168rwtq, and he made 168rwhp/155rwtq.
