Horn Problem
Horn Problem
I've got a '86 NA RX7 and the horn seems to have a mind of its own. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I checked the fuses and looked at the horn relay. Anyone had this problem before?
i've seen this before. It's some loose Connections in your CPU. are you good at resoldering small electrical contacts? do all your idiot lights/clock work?
alot of times becuase of the age of our cars things start to stop working.. lol, if that makes any sense.

Yes, sometimes the clock stops working. The clock numbers go dim when I turn the headlight/parking lights on and sometimes it will reset to 1:00. If I pound on the dash near the clock it lights up again(most of the time.) I've had English cars with bad electrics and I expect it from them, but I always thought that the japanese had it togather on their electrics.

The only gripes i have with this car is the crappy vinyl, and the bodyrust. My electronics havent really had that many problems. I mostly concerned with that hole in my hood

British cars on the other hand had just dumb electrical problems more related to bad enginnering and design.
And the clock and factory radio numbers are supposed to go dim (about half brightness) when you put the head or parking lights on, so that the clock or radio doesn't draw your attention while driving. This is a very common upgraded feature on imported cars (both Japanese and euro built).
