Ha...good **** man. In my car I had to disconnect the TPS since it was causing the car to run like **** in break in. I would literally push the throttle cable from idle and it would bog down and then rev up, the car drove like ****. You're supposed to leave it alone according to rotaryressurection until break-in is done because of the engine building compression. How much vacuum does it pull?

You should post pics or a video

Remember, its a fresh rebuild. Be careful with it, don't go into boost AT ALL till you've reached the break-in point.

And have fun with your new turbo 6-port.

+1 on a video.

hell yes, i wont be giving it any boost untill after 1k miles. i will definately get a vid. khan: you say thats the tps? mine is doing the same thing (which i expected) but i thought it was the rediculously rich mixture (i hadnt messed with the rtek except for cranking fuel and i my wide band was reading like 9.5 afr at idle! its like a gas station....

IMO: Don't baby it for 999 miles and then start beating the crap out of it after you hit the mark...lol. Start with occasional low RPM/load part throttle boost after 600 miles or so and slowly work your way up to 1000. Most people don't even break them in for that long unless you changed bearings but thats up to you.

And holy **** @ 9.5s...my wideband isn't even calibrated to read below 10. About the TPS, your car might be different but do disconnect it and see if that helps. During break in my car ran worse with the TPS connected and adjusted, it bogged down like I described and ran like complete **** with hesitations that were worst when it was cold. After 900 miles though it runs good with it connected.

ok......so a bit of a problem.....yesterday AND today are the same story....caught hell trying to start it (lit. 20 minutes of starting, de-flooding etc) and when it did start it was rough as hell (worse than yesterday) VERY VERY shaky. i could keep it running for a minute or two but then it would die...then the worst part is that i couldnt get it started again. that happened today and yesterday...only change i made was that i rerouted my wideband gauge into the cockpit (the day i got it started for the first time i had it wired under the hood just to have a look at it with out the headache of routing into the car.... any ideas???? thanks

thanks mike, i guess its a good thing that its just a discharged battery. my dad suggested using a jump box, fired up first time. o and khan, i was just re reading this and i realised, i never answered you: since the idle is set so hi (~1250 rpm) its pulling ~17 to 20 in/hg at idle. sound good??

o yea, pics/vids coming soon.
