Hood scoops

Has anyone fabricated there own hood scoop? I was thinking of putting one behind my pas. side headlight. Im going to box in the air filter so it get cool clean air. What do you think?

you can get one fabbed up already that is a headlight shroud type.Look into Corksport for this.I think it's about 80 bucks or so..Ebay also has something along this set-up..also check the vendors here..Nothing like keeping the "flow of cash" among the Friendly guys in the forum!

Ive seen the one in the headlight but didnt like it much if I do it ill do the work myself. I was just wondering if its been done and if so how it looks. Theres a space in the framing of the hood thats perfect for such a thing. Im just afaid to cut into my hood and it look like crap. I guess if it dose that will give me a reason to get a cool new hood.

I think most people tend to prefer the fender as a cheaper option for "cold" air.
