Exclamation Hood problem NEED HELP!!

This morning I went topen my hood, and the hood would not "pop" up. When I pull on the lever I here "tink" noise, when I got to work I look at the bonnect to find it had poped up!!

When I get some one to pull the lever I can not see anything move and well I don't want to close it if I can not open it again..

Any ideas?

You probably broke the release cord somewhere between the latch itself and the release handle. I would try to find where before closing the hood again. You might want to get a new one before driving at highway speeds though, I'm not sure if the hood would fly up in your face or not.

Could also just be a sticking latch. Mine did this once. Clean off all the old hardened grease and re-lubricate it with fresh grease.

Ditto what daviddeep said. Similar to my new Toyota yesterday -- it was cold, and I think the grease used by the manufacturer hardened so the hood first wouldn't open, then wouldn't close properly. Gonna relube it.
