Hood heat sheild? go or no

What would happen if i removed my hood heat sheild stuff. I hear some people say the paint will bake off, but i see a lot of people without it.

Thanks

I've never seen any side effects of taking the heat shielding off.

With the liner removed, the engine noise is louder, and the hood tends to discolor/fade on the passengers side.

And if you have a White S5 or 10thAE, the hood paint tends to flake if the liner is removed.

and RX drift, you need to fix your signature. 6 lines including the picture is the maximum allowed by the admins of the board. If they see it, they can delete it without any additional warning.

I just noticed you had a vert picture in your avaitar.

well if you have a 90 or 91 vert it is not as much of an issue as if you have a coupe. The Verts were painted radically better and with a newer method.
