SC honest opinions...

I am at 226,000 miles on my current chassis, is there ever a point where it is just to many miles on a sports car such as ours? I have daily driven this car for years now. I bought it over 70,000 miles ago and I ponder whether or not it is worth it to continue building and replacing or stripping and buying a lower mileage shell..

Do they have a rehabilitation center for rotary addicts?

Is it not rediculous I keep up with my friend who has a 350hp datsun 280zx turbo on a stock turbo rx7 all the way through the top of 3rd gear?

Is there ever a point of satisfaction with a car as cool as a Rx7? Or is it more like a drug where you build up a tolerance and continue trying to regain that satisfaction by upgrading?

Why the hell is the 16x not yet available?

Why do I have to be so damn broke because this expensive addiction?

well, as a car age the metal structure weakens.
After a while the car will just start to flex because of the weak metal.
Putting in a roll cage will make the car more rigid since the cage acts as an "internal" frame structure for the car. Thats pretty much the only way to strengthen a chassis that is worn down with age.
My GTUs apparently has 300k miles according to the stock instrument panel lol
Ive already have plans to put in a cage next year.

you have to also account for the rust thats been building up in places you cant see

Keep your current shell. Don't sweat the miles. Enjoy the car and don't think about it too much. Unless you are running in some type of competitive racing, the flex in the chassis should be a concern, and if it is, you can always reinforce it via a cage or adding reinforcement points to the chassis.

And the answers to all your other questions is 42.

It makes more sense when voiced by Helen Mirren.

Some NAs have gone as far as 350k. Just gotta take care of the turbo and cooling system mainly. Ya rust is chasis death if you don't deal with it before it spreads.
