Holy Jumping Jashiosafat! (AUTO-->5spd swap)!

Ok.. to all of you that own an auto...

I dropped almost two grand into completely rehashing the brakes (new everything) and swapping in a manual driveline.

I just took it out for a drive.

All I have to say is:

WAHOOOOOOOOOO!

I never expected the difference to be so great. Its literaly the difference between your mom's cougar v6 supercharger, and your little sisters 3banger geo metro...

Dude, that is awesome. If I had to buy an auto I'd be all for it. If ya don't mind me asking, how much was just the manual swap? Did you do it yourself and was it difficult?

I helped him a little. Besides for loosing some hardware and not having the right parts sent to him (through no fault of his own) it was pretty easy I think.

its awesome. The swap alone i could have done for around ~$600, but i did numerous other things, and ended up with quite a few spare parts.

and a bunch of missing tools, heh.

Very fun though

It's amazine how much the automatic holds back the car. You go from a sweet cruiser with great handling to a near supercar

I thought about doing the auto-manual swap as I couldn't find a medium-blue convertible in a 5 speed (very very rare), but I settled on the "plain vannila" white ones.

Ahhh - Seduced by the 5 speed.

Warning: Don't look at a turbo or it too will seduce you.
