Hmmm, how much for a rebuild?

Okay, I searched. I found nothing. I was wondering, about how much would a complete rebuild be plus a streetport? Reason being, I've considered instead of paying what I guess is about $1500 on a rebuild plus streetport, why not do an FD motor swap? Sure it would be more complicated, but I'd have an FD motor and trans for that much, save up another $1000 and get a Haltech, save up another $850 and get a KAAZ LSD, save up another $700 or so and get a good clutch setup, plus whatever parts I'd need to run a turbo motor (FMIC, better fuel pump and filter, etc.). I wonder if its been thought of, because this seems like a pretty good idea to me. What do you guys think?

a streetport rebuild usually runs about $1500-1800 or more but it all depends on how many parts you need but complete streetported engines usually run about that. i don't think you could touch an FD engine for anywhere near that but i haven't bothered to look much, you could spend the money and do all those upgrades it is your money and you will do with it what you want, if you're asking if we think it is bad to mod your car i don't think many people here will say it is bad to upgrade their FC...

Yeah you can't touch an FD engine for the cost of an FC rebuild.. unless the FD engine needs to be rebuilt... ;P lol. And they cost more to rebuild too... and ungodly amounts if you have to replace housings or rotors. Rich *** ***** need apply only.

Hey Karack PM me or if you have AIM hit me on there "Thatguy Holl" I wanna hear what went wrong with your rebuild so I don't do the same! lol

EDIT: ROTFL I didn't even realize it was you in both threads I just replied to... hah
