hmm. What to do? S4 motor/ S5 motor. What EFI management?

So i got an '87 Turbo II with a blown motor. Im not sure exactly what it is but that doesnt matter. Its got a big streetport. Like it brapped hard. Lots of supporting mods...

I also have an imported S5 Turbo motor sitting in my garage. Very good compression. Seems to be a good motor. No wiring harness.

How hard is the S5 motor swap? I want to rebuild the S4 but would it be worth is to swap the wiring and put the S5 in? I want a different engine management... Haltech, Apexi PFC, Motec, ect. Not sure what i should buy. Looking to run big turbo and big FMIC with full V mount with about 450hp ish. Im kinda on a budget built but i got lots of time to save money. Most of the stuff will be fabricated by me and my father and the engine/s will be rebuilt by me.

Whats better in the long run? This is my drift car. Not a street car. I want to port the S5 motor later down the road if i go that route. Just looking to see the troubles of the S5 swap in an S4.

its raelly easy to swap that into the s4. just need to take teh s4 tb and cas and switch it over to the s5 motor and its plug and play, well that is if your not worries about emissions or ac/ps. oh and injectors.

Run all S4 electronics and use S4 wiring. Basically run the S5 keg and S4 accessories.

Correct. The S5 wiring harness doesn't match up at all with the S4 car, but if you are going full standalone then you are fine.

The only things to be aware of are the alternator, if you use the S5 it will be a rewire job. Or you can run the S4.

You will want to run the stock wiring for the wiper motor and the cruise control if you are going to use it.

You may need to do something about the stock gauges as well, unless you are going to run aftermarket gauges.

I'm almost positive that it's not just as easy as swapping CAS and TPS. Yes the knock sensors are different. Aren't all the sensors different too? S5 use N370 but I'm pretty sure you'll need different sensors (for some things) if you're going to standalone.

^ Right, duh. For whatever reason I thought you were saying he had to put the S5 front on his S4 because of the mechanical OMP....
