Hmm, only 1 apex seal in motor

Yeah pulled the na s4 motor yesterday (thanks rx7club) and took off the exhoust manifold and turned the motor and found 1 apex seal (I should have known that anyway by the sound it made), and it sucked btw.

Any suggestions on where to get apex seals (pref 3mm) and other rebuild parts for a good price?

I wanna turn this motor to a barely streetable na monster, but I heard later rotaries doent respond well to port jobs, don't I need older rotor housings or manifolds or something?

And is it feasable to do a small peripheral port and retain the standard side ports?

Thanks appreciate any advice

Any of the vendors.

There's no reason to go 3MM unless the engine is already set up for 3MM or or your rotors are worn.

The problem is mainly the NA intake. It's optimized for stock ports so when you start doing things like bridges they tend not to work well.

The above won't matter if you do this since you'll be making your own intake.

Yes, this can be done. Look up "semi peripheral port".

But if you want a monster, just go full PP. Same amount of work, better result.
