the kit is GP Sports, knock-offs are on ebay but watch out for fitment issues. and it is not played out, its just the best looking body kit ever made for the fc so it is popular, thats not played out.

weather its played out or not is irelavant the whole purpose to a kit is to modify ur car in such a way that apeals to you .. thats why they call it custom ... if u dont like it dont buy it if u lkike it then spend money on it .. and weather or not its a knock off who cares .. not all of us have thousands to spend on "brand name" merch .. i say that it is a realy nice kit .. show car lines with a sporty feel to it ,,, u can stioll take it to the track without looking like a fool with a monsterous wing and a wide body kit so IMO if u like it do it .. thats the point to being uniqe isnt it ?.. and that doesnt nessarily mean different .. it means being urself ..

im sorry, but i really dont think ANY rx7 kit is played out! just because more people favor the gps kit! i went to sevenstock 8, w/ literally over 100 fc's..... do you know how many had a gp kit on their cars??? three!!!!! 4 if you include the car that just had the front bumper.......... so, 4 out of 100 is not played out! i know tons of people w/ fc's, and have yet to see another fc in my area w/ this kit!

so just because a body kit is talked about alot, doesnt mean everyone that talksabout it has it on their car! plus, in my opinion, its the best looking body kit for the fc hands down!

for the one interested in the kit, www.raceonusa.com ..... they have them, good quality, good fitment, good price........ so good luck on your car! and dont listen to these people!

Well since GP sports pulled out of the US I don't consider buying from knock off comanies as bad.....

We're getting from the local supplier without the huge shipping fees.

I still like it and it is one of the few kits I woudl get. I also am considering the shine and AIT kits since they seem like they might hold up to curbs a bit more due to a higher edge.

I dig the GP kit.

But a lot of the knock-offs on Ebay aren't necessarily "GP Sports" knock-offs. Some are Wise Sports knock-offs, some URAS, some Msports...you can tell the difference by looking at the front bumper and how the lip flows up to the fenders...

Ok.........I will break it down to you guys why some fit and why some don't.

The good knock offs that range from $600-800 are made by a company called version select. They are a Japanese replication company that manufactures in Japan....... fits good, but surface still wavy and bumpy.........but I believe the have the best version. Everyone else just simply distributes version selects. Raceon did not manufacture them, they distribute them. I'm sure they offer a lower grade version for $400-$500 as well.

The cheaper ones are replicas from China/mexico/and possibly the U.S........Most replicas made in China and Mexico suck big time. I can sit here an argue day and night about this with anyone. Those are the ones that sell for $400-$500.............buy at your own risk..........you get what you pay for .

I don't see why you would spend money on a body kit, sleeper is the way to go, you want to spend money on something that doesn't make you go faster and draws attention to yourself from authority? it sounds quite dumb. if you have to spend money put it in the engine or bolt it to the chassis, not the body. Now you may say "but it looks good" well it doesn't change the fact that it's wasted money. Also if you dare say it's functional, your retarded *** should know you'll never hit 140 around a turn where it would start to function and you don't need the downforce on a straightaway.

Well trubo being that you only have 4 post then Im gonna disregard that statement. I have an N/a and basically Ive done everything you can do to an NA from electric conversion of the port to the racing seats I have(frankly I dont want a turbo, just more problems). After my car is dropped this spring, then I have nothing left to do, anywho the bodykits are extra thats it. BTW I have a spare engine ready to go if needed and the bodies almost perfect. Its just a summer car anyways.

Of course it's fucntional.......... bigger openings for front mount intercoolers, more cooling for brakes......... Lighter alternative to oem bumpers.

Power isnt the answer to everything. It's about power to weight ratio. Lightness improves agility.

ive never been a big fan of body kits, but the 7 im working on right now has a crappy bumper on it. 500 bucks to replace half the body panels isnt bad! bitta weight reduction too
