hks super mega flow intake

hey just a word to the wise there was a post earlier sometime that was asking wether the cheap brand hks that you can get off of ebay is any good. NO they are not. They are incredibly smaller in diameter than the hks and don't alow as much air to get in. You get what you pay for!!! ANyways really what this post is about is I have an hks super mega flow intake and just need the filter part and have seen it on a sight for like 10 bucks but can't find it anymore anyone know where to get these? THanks.

If I am thinking of the "real" HKS intake, it is the one with the foam filter. No one should use these. The foam element is an inferior filter, and there have been reports of parts of it being sucked into the turbo/throttle body.

Tried www.rx7store.net yet? they should have replacement elements since they sell the intake in the first place.

Definitely agree with this. My friend has one on his VR4 and it seems very cheap IMO. I would put a no-name K&N style on my car wayyyyy before an HKS one.

Oh and here you go:

I've only heard bad news about HKS filters. Really the only bad thing is that they don't filter. Foam filters don't filter at all. When I raced go karts, we used cotton/gause filters just like K&N and used a foam filter on the outside to keep the big stuff from clogging the main filter. If that makes any sense. Foam filters do flow massive amounts of air tho. But when your sucking in dirt too...I don't think it's worth it.
