HKS Racing Suction Intake

How come the HKS racing intake only fit in 89 - 91(S5)TII? Why not the S4? Is there a difference in the fitment?

Probably just need an adapter... Is the HKS "racing intake" just a filter? Or does it include piping etc.?

If it's just a basic 3" (outlet) filter, you can find an adapter on Ebay for like $4.00+shipping.

S5 has two emissions fittings.
S4 has one emissions fitting.

The S4 version costs more - probably due to the adapter from the "boxy" AFM, as eriksseven already mentioned.
