HKS Hi-power exhaust.

Hi, I made lots of searches for this exhaust in the forum but came out with nothing so far. I was wondering if anybody has experience with it? As in, the exhaust note, installation, and anything of the sort. Any opinions are open about it too. Thanks

I plan on getting a Hi-Power exhaust for the FC after I've seen one done for my brother's FD. It's very loud (not absurd cause it's cooool loooud). And it flows really nicely!

i had the hi power on my last FC. it was an s4 NA.
its pretty loud, but like everyone else said its a nice deep tone.
so its a nice loud.
when i started my car, with the cold start revving up to 3000 it would set off nearby car alarms.

but driving it and everything it wasnt annoying or anything and i could still hear my music just fine.
but when you really get on the gas it gets REAL nice and loud at higher rpms.

I have it on my FC (duals actually) with a 2.5" header and cat- it is pretty loud, but sounds really powerful. Not an ear-bleeding sound, more of a chest-crushing sound. I reccomend it, especially the duals.

Duals, wow I didn't know that can be done since its just single sided.

Custom setup. I used two Hi-Power cans and 2" piping to make a catback.

I've had one for nearly 5 years now (including 3 winters in western new york). Its a single and it is very loud (no cats, sets off car alarms occasionally), esp at idle. Oddly I feel its a bit more quiet between about 1700 and 2500 rpm That said, it is an EXTREMELY quality piece and other than some discoloration on the tip, it has held up incredibly well to the salt. My friend had a Blitz TT on his 240 for only 2 years and it was nearly eaten through by rust but my Hiper has been a champ.

Here ya go. Mine are mounted really far under the car, so I have some toasted bumper issues, lol.

This pic shows WHY they are mounted so deeply. I hate seeing canisters that are hanging down below the car's lines.

Also, I'm going to switch from my Pacesetter header to an RB header/presilencer combo.

I'm guessing that it must be even louder inside the car since the exhaust tip exits "behind" the bumper line.If you don't want to see the cans hang down what was the point of using those then instead of an offset muffler like the racing beat system for example?

^Not really. With the windows up I can have a conversation with the person next to me, raising my voice just a little more than normal. Also, I don't like the RB catback. I like the way these look, though I'll probably be redoing them and mounting them a little different. Possibly cutting out/remolding the bumper cutouts some more.

Also, no mine aren't the Carbon Ti. They're the older HKS Hi-Power's. I got them about 3 1/2 - 4 years ago.

hey,

i am looking for some clips of the HiPower Silent.. is it just more silent during cruise and idle? or overall?

I would like to know, if its a bolt on system or not.
And actually.. where to get one?? seems there are not many sites out there offering HiPower or even HiPower Silent exhausts.

Would like one with downpipe and presilencer/testpipe.

I was considering getting this exhaust for FC, and I only saw can/mufffler. Just to be sure, I would have to do a down pipe to it from the cat right? And can it be mounted on either side?

EDIT: Scratch the first part, I saw the cat-back system... I still want to know if there's anyway to mount it on the passenger side.
