Hks F-con
Hi guys, i am the owner of a 3rd gen and i know someone who would like to sell his HKS F-CON but it is made for a 2nd gen turbo.
Is it a good feature? Is it well known in the 2nd gen community? How much could i sell it for? Is it a good fuel computer?
thanks a lot

The readers of the "big RX-7 list" don't like it too much.  I know an FD owner personally who hated that thing.
I don't recommend the HKS PFC F-CON for FC owners myself - I tell them to go with the A'PEXi S-AFC as a better (cheaper) alternative.
I don't think you can use the FC3S F-CON for your FC, as the programming parameters are different - i.e. FC airflow meter versus MAP-based FD.

I own a 88 Turbo II and had the F-CON in my car, but my F-CON went bad, so I went with the Apexi S-AFC computer, I have to say the SAFC is by far the best fuel upgrade for a car if your not going to go with a stand alone ecu. I found the SAFC allows much better tunning of the fuel map vs the FCON, and for the cost.. the SAFC wins hands down.
the f-con is different for 86-88 and 89-91 models so you need to find out what year it's for. you could probably get $300 for if it's compleate. you need the computer, boost sesnor, and FCD.
Redted is right about the S-AFC being better. however unless you have access to a wide band 02 and someone who knows how to tune. I don't know how much you would get out if it, and you can do alot of harm trying to tune it yourself if you don't know what you are doing. the f-con is much eaiser. just plug it in. however I would go with a upgraded ecu chip over an f-con. since your ign. timming is lowered under boost and you no longer need an FCD.
