HKS dual to custom single?(sound?)

My teacher owns a 327 powered 240Z and he just switched from his old exhaust setup to a 3" exhaust, so since we know each other pretty well, he gave me his old magnaflow muffler for free. Problem was he left the piping and hangers on, so I'm currently grinding those off.

Anyways, I'm thinking of switching away from my dual HKS exhaust to a lighter custom mandrel bent single using the muffler I got from my teacher (2.5"). I was thinking (since the RB header and my cat collect to 2.5") of doing a full 2.5" single system with the muffler I got for free and another magnaflow 4"x14" can as a silencer. Anyone have any idea how loud this would be compared to a dual HKS sport system? With the HKS system it's loud enough to get looks from people walking around on the street, but with this setup I think it'll be considerably louder.

Anyways, I managed to snap a cool picture while I was grinding off an exhaust hanger.

Yeah, I will be if I can get this muffler to look decent, still needs a little work with the steel wool. I'll probably be selling it in two to three weeks. It's for an NA, and on a stock exhaust system it's pretty quiet. With the RB header.presilencer, though, it's NICE.
