Exclamation Hitting Fuel cut even with the RB FCD!

Hey guys. I have a slight problem i'm rather worried about. I have a Racing Beat FCD in my car but for some reason, it still hits fuel cut; I am guessing. Sometimes it doesn't do it but most of the time it does. I can usually run the motor up to about 6000~ RPM and then it'll feel like it cuts out and usually i let off the gas cause it scares the crap outta me. But i tried keeping my foot on the gas a couple times and it cuts out like mentioned above and then after it cuts out it kicks back in like everything is fine and the RPM's go up? I don't get it? I even tried using my buddies RB FCD to see if my fcd was messed up but i got the same thing. I swapped out my modded ECU for my stock ECU and still same crap. I'm at a loss here. Any ideas?

It's not the FCD.
To be sure, you can unplug the electrical plug to the boost connector and see if this fixes the problem.
If it doesn't, it's not the fuel-cut or the FCD.

When you say boost connector, do you mean boost sensor that the FCD plugs into?

Yes, unplug the electrical plug that goes into the boost sensor.
Test drive the car...
Remember to replace it after testing!
If you feel any hesistation, please lift off immediately!

You will probably feel nothing different - I bet the hesistation is still there, which pretty much eliminates the fact that it is the overboost fuel-cut.

If it's not the boost sensor / overboost fuel-cut, check the TPS.
Check resistance at full extension and see if it's over 6.0k-ohms.

Same thing just happened to me two days ago and it totally freaked me out... I assumed it was the FCD... I just finished emissions removal plus adding RB downpipe. I still have the stock catback so I didn't think I would hit it... I am thinking I may have the same problem as Wookeys... I recently set the TPS using the led method, I guess I will try the OHM test also.
Could it be poor grounding or lousy wires?

TravelinTrevor, i was thinking of those also. My injectors were fuelly cleaned and flow tested back in December so im pretty sure they are still good, the fuel pump is a walbr0 255 lph that i put in i think it was in april or may, one of the two. I just changed the spark plugs a couple days ago so they are still good, maybe its the coil packs?

Well i popped off my intercooler this afternoon and so far i've found one hose thats been cracked to that was a fairly easy find/fix and then i checked my TPS sensor follow Reted's guide http://fc3spro.com/TECH/HOWTO/TPS/tps.html and my TPS sensor is apperently junk. so hopefully once i get those done everything will be ok

Could be grounds, wouldn't hurt to clean 'em up a bit (and better yet- won't cost anything )

I found an exhaust leak on my car. The gasket between the turbo and exhaust manifold is pretty much non existent. I can feel the exhaust come out between the two.

Tap the output of the pressure sensor with a voltmeter. Put it on the dash. Go for a drive. Watch the output. It shouldn't go over approx 3.65 or so. If it does.....write back what it was. It's easier to use a meter that captures Min/Max outputs so you can read them back at your leisure.

The above advice is for a car with a RB FCD. Not a car without one.

Even a simple twenty buck digital meter from RadioShack will do just fine if you make some longer leads so you can put it on the dash to look at while driving.

Oh, use common sense care messing around the pressure sensor. Its easy to short out the ref voltage and its power supply in the ECU. The car will never start again if you do that. EVER.
