TX High side a/c schrader valve

Hi,

I'm prepping to do the R152 conversion and was putting the R132 adapter on the high side port. I removed the 3/8" OEM insert and it looks like no schrader valve insert I've seen.

Expected?

Thanks,

Jim

You're right, this the internal part and the rest is missing. Replace the valve!

For tires I'm used to the schader valve having two legs descending to, I'm guessing, stabilize the bottom of the plunger. But this is all that came out. I was initially concerned the legs fell into the line but I don't see any evidence that there were any legs on this particular valve.

I went ahead and put the R134 high side adapter on as it also has a schrader valve so I think it's good to go.

Thanks

The nice thing about using the R134 service port adapters is that now can use the service port valves on your gauges.

Well that was the reason I was putting the adapters on.

btw, if anyone is interested in getting a gauge set Harbor Freight has theirs on sale for $55.
