search for "reliability mods"

there will be a number of threads describing the short and long of this list.
some of the basics are Fuel cut defensor, upfgrade your fuel pump, clean and flow your injectors - regular oil changes, fresh plugs and wires, clean or upgrade grounds to the motor/chassis....

I would say if you can afford it, rebuild the engine while it is still running, this will save you a bunch of money. Waiting until you blow it up causes much more expense.

Other than that change the oil religiously, and make sure that the fuel system is clean. The more you mod it the less likely it is to last.

Apex seals and housings only last so long, they are "wearable" components after all.

If you're more concerned with preserving it's life, make sure you're limiting yourself to the stock 'boost' PSI.

I bought my TII with 140k miles on the stock motor and managed to eek out a little over a year on it with around 90psi compression. I eventually blew my coolant seals the FIRST time I ever ran the AC, on an unusually hot day in heavy traffic, lol.

I also drove it as if it were my first TII... Meaning I was a dick to the car. Probably redlining it around, ehh, 15 times a day?

mine is serviced with genuine oil and filter every 3000km and resealed and sprung every year. new housings every other year the upside to this is the housings when replaced are still in excellent condition and can be sold to help fund the new ones

Do your regular oil changes. Also check to see if you oil cooler is clean. As old as are cars are the oil cooler get a lot of junk on it. So make sure its clean because it does a lot of the cooling. Make sure your oil metering lines are not cracked and or not clogged.

People dont stress this enough.

Let the car warm up as much as possible!

I think it does alot more damage to run a rotary cool than a piston engine.
