Question High/Low impedence??? Which years are which?!

i just want to get this cleared in my head. I heard the 88' fc's have low impedence ignition, and all other years are high. Now i also have people saying the 8 were high and all other years were low. Can i get a vote or somthing so i know which ones which??

After 6/87 (maybe July, close) all FCs had high impedence injectors

THis is true, befor 87.5 they are low impedence and after they are high. There have been many posts on this subject and on many of them they tell you the exact serial number that they switched on.

IF you don't have a solenoid resistor.........you have high impedence. If you have a solenoid resistor...........

From chassis 550168 and back they were low.

From chassis 550169 and newer they are.............you can take it from there.

This is a solenoid resistor:

I be like saving that location to my Documents so I can paste it someday on a thread.

You can also resistance test the injectors and find out if they are high or low.

All you have to do is wire resistors in before your engine blows up again. Procrastination does not work.

putting 88 motor in 87 with resistor. no plug on new motor harness for the resistor. should i not worry about it and chuck the thing or do i have to wire in something special since my new motor runs at high impedence?
