high idle and searched

My car (86 na) idles at 1500 to about 2000 and it is really starting to get to me. I have the idle screw all th way in to no effect a replaced and cleaned Bac. No vac leakes that i have found and pressing brakes affects idle for a sec untill it returns to normal. The throtle cable has slack in it too. I do not know how to check the tps so any help is appreciated.

im gona have to say its the bac even tho you replaced it. its probobly the ecu sending the wrong signals, getting the wrong reeding for electrical load. id dont know if thats gona be easy to fix.

My car does the same thing, but only when its cold. It doesnt bother my, i have 168k ion my engine and if it was bad I'd think it wouldve died abotu three years ago when my bro bought the car. my engine has been through heel and back. No exhaustfrom the downpipe on, and nitrous that was not hooked up properly.
