A 89-91 (S5) stock hybrid (hiflow) should be good for 250-400RWHP depending on turbo components and more importantly the rest of the engine set-up.
Many will scoff at the 400RWHP figure, though I see no reason it is not attainable. For instance if one used the new GT series compressor and its more free flowing GTQ exhaust wheel in a modded housing as well as the usual upgraded seals/thrust bearing I see no reason it would make less power than the GT series turbo in its own small T3 sized exhaust housing. Many of the 2nd gen owners that go to full aftermarket turbos actually use an exhaust manifold and housing design that is inferior to S5 parts.
My BNR Stage IV felt close to that 400hp mark even though it is a more mundane 60-1hifi compressor w/ P-trim exhaust wheel. It never hooked up in 1st or 2nd once in boost and spun the tires at the top of 3rd on 225/50 180 treadwear tires on 8" rim- though a full 1 deg neg. camber. I can't wait to dyno
Of course, the overall set-up is more important than the turbo, I think I have done more than most people that go to full aftermarket turbos.
My BNR set-up (back when it was "O" trim exhaust and the WG extension was not divided.
Yes, it still had boost creep until I went to a smaller diameter 3" turbo back.

smaller diameter 3" turbo back. What did you have before? You mean exhaust right? Sorry for asking such a newbie question. Heres another... Do you have to send in a stock 2nd gen turbo to BNR/RX7store or is it basically buying an aftermarket turbo. Thanks

I had the 3 1/2" JIC Spec 90 turbo back exhaust on the car before the Racing Beat.
HKS makes an even larger 4" turbo back for the FC and a diesel shop could make you a 5" turbo back if you wanted- though that 1st bend off a turbo in stock location gets very tight.
With the 3 1/2" turbo back it had much better very low end w/ positive manifold pressure before 1,500rpms and 3-4psi by 2,000rpm and full boost (14psi) was realized 500-1,000rpm earlier than w/ RB 3" exhaust.
Though it was LOUD!

So do they rebuild the turbo also when you send it them? Does BNR have their own website or do you have to go to RXstore? Thanks again guys

If so how much would it cost BNR to convert my S5turbo to a stageII?????
