high cold idle problem
by reading the forum, i've read that most of you guys cold idle between 1300-1500 rpm.. but mine cold idles at 2000rpm..
the accelerated warm-up system puts me up at 3200-3500 rpm.. sometimes even up to 4000 rpm.. i always try to bypass this by bliping on the throttle (i don't like to start in gear)..
so i drive on at 2000rpm idle.. as the engine temp needle goes up a little the idle goes to 1800rpms. when the needle is a quater way up.. idle starts bouncing between 1200 and 1800rpm.. and ~half way up the idle is at 1100rpm.. and finally at regular operanting temp(needle is half way up), i get a good steady idle ~800rpm
the bouncing idle during warm up isn't that much of a concern.. but i always had the high cold idle.. can anyone think of a cause/solution? btw '90 gxl..

I don't think you really have much to worry about.... Because mine does the same thing when it bounces just different rpms........ When cold started I rev between 3k and 4k and then after a minute or so, I just let it idle at 2k and then it goes down after the car keeps warming up...... so I don't really think its a problem.....so yeah no worries bro!
