High beam switch?

High beam switch?
Whenever you turn on the high beams -- they'll stay on for a quick second, then suddenly shut itself off. Anyway to fix this?

Pull the turn signal switch... with the headlights on. The high beams will then latch on.

The high beams won't latch on if its a broken S5 switch, or the headlights are not on, for a S4 switch.

It'll latch on -- but will flicker off in about 8 seconds or so after it's been turned on.

I guess it's broken

How much does a switch (s5) costL

It could be the Hi/lo relay up in front of the radiator.

Can't this same symptom happen if you have a irregular Bright/Dim relay??? Open question. Just asking. Just a thought.

My first guess would be the headlight switch connector plug.
My second guess is the dimmer relay.
It's number (16) in the picture.

It's not the plug - since it does turn on (lights do come on) and then shuts off.

I'll go ahead and take a look at the dimmer relay tonight and give an update. thanks for the picture -- it helped.

all i can say is check the fuse, or replace it if your not sure its busted.
