HID's draining battery

I got my HID's installed and working. The problem is they kill the battery when the car is off. The wiring diagram included shows both the controller connected to both the positive and negative battery terminals. Also there is no ground.

the one that goes to the negative on the battery is the ground. Just ground it to the chassis.

How can they be draining the battery when the lights and car are off? they shouldnt be on.

The lights where off and the battery was dead within 30min. I dont know alot about electrical **** and was thinking either the controler or ballast was draining the battery without the lights being on...duno if thats possible though lol. I tried using the negative to ground them and the lights wouldnt turn on (after jumping the battery).

What brand of HID's do you have? because now that you mentioned it i think im having the same problem... i can jump it, drive it, then when i park it, its dead by time i go to start it in the morning.

Thanks, Im still building it. Im never buying another set of coilovers. They go really low and are very stiff, even on the softest setting, but are still streetable. I got a new battery and everything works, the volt meter is reading around 13.5 while im driving around with the lights on...il see if the battery is dead after letting it sit for a while. Here is the wiring diagram...theyre Xtune HID's I bought off ebay for a bill
