there's not much we can really say

if something doesn't work you check the device itself, the wiring to the device, any related fuses, and the actual switch that turns it on.

i suggest you obtain a factory service manual and begin reading it if you want to learn how to service a car.

if by 'center console' you mean the center arm rest area, that is fairly normal for rwd cars, because the transmission is right under that general area. if it's getting super hot you may want to check for an exhaust leak.

for speakers... just buy speakers and install.

radio, the unit could be going out or you could have an electrical problem.

I've got a fully functioning stock radio for your rx-7 just sitting in my closet. If yours turns out to be busted I will gladly sell you mine!

Most of these questions are covered in the FAQ.

Always read the FAQ's.... but you can get a factory manual from www.rx7city.com. As far as the stereo goes I'm not sure if you can hook it up to an equalizer... I'm sure it's possible though. I'd gladly let thing go for 50$ I don't know how much it would cost to ship though...
