Talking hi i plan on getting a RX-7 need some help?

hi i want to know which RX-7 is better a 2nd Gen GTU what years was a gtu available? Would a GTU be better then a 91 RX-7 non turbo? Whats the difference between a GTU and a 91 RX-7? I am not sure if the GTU is a 88 because from what i saw so far on the GTU is it was made in 89 not sure if thats correct. I was told 89-91 are best of compression. I am just learning about these cars i dont want a RICER i cant stand them. I like rear wheel drive cars and i always wanted a RX-7 i have the chance to get one. Would a turbo car have more problems then a Non Turbo car? and what are the usally problems with 89-91 rx-7s? Are they big cost problems? Or simply stuff. Thanks i hope youes can help me.

gtu was made in 88 one of the best second gen non turbos to get. 89 GTUs is similar to 88 gtu except it has updated interior a little more power, nicer wheels etc. feel free to ask anymore questions

Aww.. the GTU from 89-91 was the base car and from 86-88 was the sport car. The 89-91(Series 5) cars definitely have more Hp and it is definitely "fealable". Series 5 cars have better Pulsating Dampeners(PDs) which cause no fires which are quite common on a 86-88(Series 4). The S5 has a redefined nose and a spoiler where I don't know how many S4 have the spoiler. The S5 look a lot meaner and have more definition. I like them a hell of a lot better, that is really the main reason why I got one. Yes a turbo car is going to have triple the problems a N/a has depending on the condition of the engine/turbos/car overall. Buy what you like, I got a 89 GXL that runs rather ruff because of an exaust leak but oh well, I planned to rip it off and put on a Bonez race pipe(no catalytic converters) and a N1 Single exaust system. Maybe some Mindtrain headers as well. Have fun and YES OH GOD YES, these cars are a friggin blast to drive and our just sporty enough to attract women and the cops.
