Hi guys, help a newb
First of all i would like to say hi! I have a 5.0 mustang and know all about that but i don't know too much about my 87 rx-7. It is a none turbo, well the car floods out so i think the fuel injectors are bad becuase if you let it sit for an hour and try to start it the motor won't start. I put a fuel pump cut off switch and i could still drive it, but now i think the motor is shot. The car will start but it stalls when the car trys to idle, it smokes badly at start up but i think that is from excess gas, and now the car lost almost all it's power and it vibrates very badly and i think i hear a knock . Could it be running on one rotor? I just would like opinions on what you guys think is wrong with it. If i replaced the fuel injectors do you think it would run correctly? Do i need a new motor? If so where can i get a reliable rebuilt one for cheap? Is there anyone company that does it for under 1,000, i think the cheapest i have seen is about $ 1,500. Well thank you guys for your input. Nick

You need to check your compression first. Use the same tester you would use on the 5.0, minus the check valve...
Search, for compression testing, and rebuilds, you'll be reading for days
