Hi guys,

Thought I would start a thread just saying who I am and everything. My name is Sam, I am from California, and the day after tommorow I will be picking up my 87 RX-7 N/A for 375 dollars from a wrecking yard. The body is straight, the motor questionable, and the clutch gone.

I am a pretty veteran Honda person, have one track car EG 93 Civic coupe with B series motor swap, and a D16 EG Honda Coupe 1995 for daily driving. This will be my first rotary, my first mazda, AND first RWD car, so I am looking forward to all the new exciting things I am to be learning to keep up with everyone on these boards!

Just from roaming around these boards unregistered, I have picked up so many different things just from reading. I have a habit of reading everything before I actually sign up and post, in order to keep myself from looking like a complete *** when I do finally post .

Anyway, I look forward to talking with everyone, arguing with you all, telling you your wrong, and admiting im wrong from time to time.. and definetly learning quite abit about the Mazda world.


Anyhow , for my first newblet question. I had a website bookmarked earlier yesterday , and for some reason I cannot find my bookmark. It had carbon fiber dash pieces for the FC like the idiot light bezel and such for sale, Anyone know what website im talkin about? Thanks!

Reason I was looking is because alot of the dash pieces are broken and I wanted to start ordering the parts

I think everyones dash pieces are busted with this car, or at least on their way if you touch it in a wrong way gonna get busted kind of way.

The little heater vent covers and the longer one near the bottom of the windshield pretty much shatter when I tried to take them out. The warning light surround was also cracked in 3 places when I got the car.
The plastic is old and brittle I guess.

I bought the CF warning light from those guys, they forgot to ship it to me when they went on vacation, of course, they worded it in a professional its not our fault kind of way, but thats what happened
ANYWAYS, when it finally did arrive, the quality was very good, and I was very impressed. Im thinking about also getting the radio dash CF and anything else interrior I can get my hands on.

btw, hows the compression on the engine? I know you've been reading so im sure I don't need to let you know that it tells you a shitload about the amount of work needed on the 13b.
Did you read the "how to buy a seven" guide in the faq? they got some real nice and easy tests in there to see again how much work the 13b will need.

yes, I read all the faqs and such, unfortunetly at the time I checked it I didnt get a chance to perform a compression check on it, had no battery I am going to
go again today however with the propper tools and get to check everything. I figure for 365 even if the engine is bad its worth its weight in parts And plus, the body is straight
