Hey you guy's with big wheels!

I want to know what spring rates everybody is running with 18's, and how low you all are riding? Pics are encourged!

Here is a pic of my car, but I have rubbing issues if I ride it any lower.

Accually I'm molding in R32 skyline tails right now. Wich wheels were you talking about, the front or rear? I only have rubbing probs in the front. My wheels are 18x7.5 front and 18x9.0 rear, I had the car sitting about a half an inch lower but When I hit bumps in a turn the front rubbed the fender.

Nice car, just need some dark tinted windows and S5 tails(or maybe the skyline ones, not sure yet). Damn you don't have much of a bumper left either, huh? I cut alot away but not that high or that low. I had to go wider because of the piping.

It was already wrecked in the front, so I didn,t mind that much. Plus it is only temperary, I am getting a GPsports kit and I'm redoing my IC with an apex core that fits in the bumper.

Wheels are fine, but I think 17's would look better...

Oops, didn't see that. Why the black hood? You should do the bumperless/fenderless/headlightless mod like me, be mad light yo! Then donate me what you've taken off

Don't listen to them, it's your car after all. 10th AE aren't all that special. There were less '91 T2 sold than them. Same goes for a '90 T2 or an '89 T2 for that matter. Do what what you will and make it better. If you do follow through with it, go all out or it will look crummy. Nothing sticks out like bad bodywork.

If any of you whiney suckas think what I think is wrong, bear this in mind. A few weeks ago I went with a friend to check out a 10th AE that had an asking price of $3500. What we found was something worth less than $1000. The precious little FC was extremely neglected by some white trash chicks that knew no better. This car was almost beyond being worth the time as a project. Not many parts in good shape on this car. Now this car was a cryin' shame. That was a disappointing 450 miles (round trip) to see this crap. Neglected 7's are a crime, not somebody making their car their own.

Bad2ndgen: What is the offset to your wheels up front? What size are the tires? Are the fenders rolled? With this info you might get a better answer what is causing the rubbing.

Hey don't get me wrong, I totally agree, the 10th Ann S4 arrangement is just fine. I'm only saying S5's over a Skyline riceafied conversion. By all means, leave the stock AE's in.

What I have found is that going with only 18's or only 17's you have the problem of having the 17's in back look too small for the wheel well and the 18's up front look too big in those wheel weels. If you went with 17's up front you would have the perfect size in both wells. you can also go with a slighty higher tire so the ride is not as rough. 17's front and 18's back make the stance of the car just look wicked! But if you don't want to spend money on new rims go for the offset, its gotta be wrong for your car.
peace,
Charles

Well, i agree, S5's would be so much better than rice skyline tails. Why not try and squeeze some GM Impala lights in
