Exclamation Hey, Wheel Buffs Help Me Out!!!

I have an 88 TII and I want a new set of wheels I want 17x8 up front and 17x9 in the back. I know that I want the wheels to be nearly flush with the fenders so what off set do I need? I do not wish for the wheels to go any further into the wheel housing but come out a little more. rubbing will not be an issue b/c I have sustecs c/o and new bushings all the way around. And I may be going out on a limb but if you also know of anything cheap in that size it would help. One more question, if I go with fractory FD wheels what size mm spacers do I need to acheive the same "nearly flush to the fenders" look. I may also get some of those

at a 42+ offset my 18x7.5 Racing Hart CR's just barely clear my struts in the front. if you go with a 9" in the rear you may want to try arouns a 35+ offset. An 8" in the front will still be good but dont go any lower then a higher than a 40+ offset

i have a set of AE 17X8" wheels off an FD, they fit perfectly with a +38mm offset. the fronts with 225/45R17 have about 6mm of clearance to the strut and the rear 235/45R17 have about 15mm of clearance to the control arm. if you went with a tiny bit more offset the wheels would fit just right and sit flush with the fenders but you may have to roll the fenders if you plan on dropping the springs.

for 17x8 front i have +30 and it's pretty much flush with the fender. in back for 17x9 i got stuck with +35(ordered +27 but didn't want to wait another month) and it sucks. i got longer wheel studs with 20mm spacers to correct it so you might want to go +20 to +25 for the rear.

here are some pics to show you a 17x9 +35 in back. it looks like it needs to come out almost another inch.

Wheels

Setup: Pro-N1 by Black Racing/5 Zigen

Fronts: 38mm offset 17x8 w/ 225/45's
Rears: 38mm offset 17x9 w/255/40's

this will work with factory rear springs. must install coil overs (or other non-tapered spring) to allow for clearance up front. other than that no fitiment issures.
