Hey ppl, a little gearbox problem.
Hey ppl, im new around here. Finally i found a good forum to discuss about my car. Who's goin to sevenstock this year? Well on to the question.
I have an 87 Turbo II and i think i have a gear problem or something. When i bought it i replaced the whole tranny and everything. But the gearbox is still very hard to use. After driving for a while its very hard to engage in 1st gear and 2nd gear specifically. I met another FC owner at D1 Grand Priz(go drifting!) and he told me to replace the short shifter. That might help...but i have a feeling its some internal tranny problem. Im gonna go to MazdaTrix soon (one of the full three rotary places here in So Cal) and probably get my bearings or clutch discs replaced. Any other suggestions or anyone with this problem?

Change the tranny fluid as your first step. However, I suspect the problem to be the throwout bearing. It is probably dragging. Any noises (grinding, wirring, etc)?
