Hey I Bid On this goofy turbo...

I saw this FS locally on a local auction site... Wonder if I can custom build a flange to make this work on the 7... It's a garret....

I noticed that the housing is facing down not up..... I wonder if I can flip the housing....?

you can turn the compressor housing 360 degrees to where ever you want it. Its quite simple.

Should be able to make it work with an adaptor, it *looks* to me to be a T3 flange.

Only thing I really see being an issue is the fact that there's no V-band nor any actual FLANGE for a downpipe. You'll need to spilt the exhaust housing off the CHRA and have a V-band adapter welded into place, no biggie, put a PITA nonetheless.

That's more akin to a turbo for a motorcycle. Or perhaps a go-cart.

Thats fine, it should blow to about 180 or so HP on a piston, so maybe 160 ish on your rotary?

I think it may even go up to 240 bhp , but then it will produce a lot of heat. (big intercooling)

Other bad things about it:
-no internal Wastegate: you have to go for external $$$ , doesnt make sense in a TII with this small turbo. maybe in a NA/turbo conversion if you want to drive with low boost.

-not watercooled: again bad in a TII which comes with piping for watercooled.
and again maybe not so bad for a NA/turbo conversion

Yeah It will be going on an N/A... With turbo upper and lower manifolds.. The car will be primarily used for Autocrossing. I was running a s5 turbo... So If I win I might just stick with the s5 and sell this one.... I dunno, I guess I was floored by the price and the fact it was name brand and new..

Those small frame turbos are only about $600 new. If you get it, you could easily get some mad loot for it on the Honda Forums. They are the only ones with engines small enough to use those turbos.

Looks like this turbo:

is there any way you can get me all the specs on that turbo you just bought? Like exhaust A/R and stuff?
