HEY GUYS guess what
HEY GUYS guess what
Well in spring if I get my ATV sold i will have my tranny Changed by a guy on the fourms , he lives about a few hours from me.Hes willing to do it for about $1,500-$1,700 depending on what i want done extra , you guys think its a good deal sence i want a maunel tranny more than my car?
well i cant , i have no clue were to start and i can throw money at ppl , everyone here is like i :i hooked up the superquolagation to day and i saw a dyno test giving me .5th of a hp , im not a car geek , i cant work on tranny or anything ill prob get half way through and give up , ied rather do this i think its far money , sence ied half to buy a flywheel for it , anyone know what flywheel i should buy?
Uh, you are getting raped. Talk to Kevin Landers, I would go with a t2 trans and an ACT street/strip clutch with a light weight 11lb. flywheel. This setup would probally be close to the $1700 price, but you would have a t2 trans, lighter flywheel, and a clutch that will be almost impossible for your NA to break.
ok ill keep that in mind this spring , ill put it in a read me , and im not getting raped if i cant do it myself like all you itt tech grads , and im going there after high school!

OMG... you can find N/A trannys for 1-200 bucks!!!!!!!!
It takes about 4 hours total to swap the tranny.
-Unscrew the shifter ****
-Unbolt the front part of the exhaust.
-Unplug the speedo cable and reverse/5th gear switch from the tranny.
-Unbolt the driveshaft yoke u-bolts...
-Pull the driveshaft out
-Unplug and unbolt the starter motor
-Remove the tranny-engine bolts
-Support the tranny... then unbolt the crossmember underneath the tranny.. and slide it out.
Dat's it! (I might have missd something... who knows)
Installation is the reverse... it's just a bit of a pain to line it up.. I prefer to get right underneath the tranny, bench press it by hand and slide it up.... it's pretty light, and I'm not a weak guy (
)
I'll do it for you for $1500! I'll even drive there!!! I'll even buy you the tranny to install!!

2 more semesters and I'm out. Don't expect to have to write 100 page papers. Perhaps 30 pages. Just get really good at interpolating data for thermo and remember laplace transforms (diff eq) for a vibes class. After statics and dynamics, it's pretty much the same stuff over and over again.
