hey guys couple questions

do universal shift boots (the leather outside one) fit our cars?

do the inside shift boot have to be specific to our cars? (the one you don't see)

and is it bad, if my innershift boot is melting from the heat from the tranny? you think i should flush my tranny fluid?

lastly, for an engine teardown, do you need a hydraulic press?

yes.

shouldn't be melting, but it does get warm. flush anyway if the fluid is old.

Sometimes. Not for a basic teardown in the sense of getting the engine apart, but if rotor or housing bearings need to be replaced it will help.
