Question Hey All!

I am trying to find an Exedy street strip clutch for my 87N/A. But every body I've called said they only had then for the Tll's. Any body know where I couold get one or should I just get the ACT stage 2 for ir. I've gotten a price of 310. at my door.

The standard ACT street strip clutch set (not the x-treme) should be just fine. That and the clutch disc its self is an Exedy unit. I don't see the need to run a stage 2 clutch. BTW if you want a stock clutch kit mazdaformance has them for a damn good deal.

People don't give the stock clutch enough credit it's a pretty good unit. What modifications are done or do you plan on doing to the car? What is the purpose of the car (drag, auto-x, road race, street use)? These answers will definitly help to decide what is going to be the right unit for you.

I baught the car as a fixer, it was in the yard and had sat for a year. I replaced the fuel pump and got it running, very well I might add, and now, due to the sitting I supose(or the first day of just burnning every corner down) the clutch has given up and slipps badly. It still goes, but it slipps so bad I stopped driving it. I have decided to restore it to factory, then may be add a S/C with a completely home built cold air intake and exhaust system. But that is way down the road, I am just trying to avoid breaking the engine and tranny again. And then i may like the way it handles and drives the way it is, I may just leave it alone and drive it. I enjoyed it greatly right after I got it.

I know...sorta wishy washy I am.?????

If you plan on doing any forced induction I would just go with the standard street strip clutch set. Anything more would just be more money and an over kill.
