Hey 13bRE cosmo guys

Hey so im running a RE with a stock s5 single turbo. My question is where do i run my coolant lines for the turbo from the motor? I know where they go on the turbo but just not on the engine. I believe one goes down by the bottom of the water pump. But i dont know about the other. Any help would be great thanks guys.

I have one going from the back nipple of the motor (on the rear plate) to the turbo) then you could use the back of the water pump nipple as a return, or if you have a turbo water pump housing, the lower nipple on the water pump housing.

alot, the RE and REW have the same ports that are higher that the turboII because the intake manifold have to clear the stock twin turbo

Can I ask why your going through all the effort of a 13b-re block, just to put a stock turbo on it ?

Mate save your money and get a bigger turbo these blocks are king !!

Im just curious. Full turbo upgrades are better but they cost a lot.

It wont be as good , but I had 2 options for my hybrid I rebuilt 1 year ago. It was an extra $160 and I got the to4 intake side. The 60-1 was the same price but was too big to clear the intake manifold

It will clear a REW and RE block intake manifolds. just the S4 and S5 is will clash with.

I know as I had the same issue with mine on my orginal S4 block. I had a wedge made up that then cleared it about 2cm or so.

That same setup on my RE block has about 7-8cm of free space.

Read the 60-1 thread, more pic's in there.

Jeremy Griffith, will depend on what your looking for mate... so many good options depending on which way you want to go.

Inital D si real, see link below. hopefully this answers your questions.
I have a pic of how my manifolds sit with my old turbo setup if you want it.
Also if you have a S4/s5 block, as far as I know you cant just swap the manifold over... the studs are all wrong.

Oh, I havent done a ton of research, I was hoping the manifold bolts up. Doh! I thought I could bolt up my 13bt manifold, and just deal with custom lines and retuning my ecu. Or course the other stuff related to the 13b re swap also.

Thanks for the link, but I was actually talking about a hybrid turbo using the stock hotside. I just dont have the money right now for a full turbo, manifold, ext wastegate, downpipe, and oil and water lines.

Sorry, im a little off topic here guys
