hesitations pls help

Question hesitations pls help

ok just got my 88 se going last night. when i take it up in the rpms around 3500 to 4000 it hesitates. than is you rod on it through 1st and go to 2nd the rpms stop at about 5000 and you hear like a slight whistle or buzz. any ideas on what this could be. thanks Rob

hey,
from what i can gather, the hesitations are to do with improperly grounded parts inside the engine bay, if you read the 2nd gen FAQ at the top of the page, there is info on it there.

Mechanical causes:
Clogged- Fuel pickup strainer, main fuel filter, injectors, cats.
Electrical causes:
Weak primary grounds, weak accessory grounds, worn out TPS, worn out spark plugs, plug wires.
