hesitation problem
hesitation problem
Hey guys I have an 87 turbo 2 at it has the 3800 rpm hesitation I fixed all the grounds and that didn't work but someone told me that the fuel injectors sometimes leak how would I go about fixing this? Were do they usually leak from? And should I have them cleaned or just get new ones?
Did you redo the main engine ground located on top of the engine? This is one of the two most important grounds. Does the hesitation occur w/the car idling, but engine being reved? Your secondary injectors might be clogged or the injector clip connection to them could be faulty or perhaps the boost sensor is problematic. And the ground to the AFM is very important here as well.

There is a terrible smell of fuel in the cabin after it hesitates ill check all of those
So an update I took off the intake manifold and found the lower injectors (I don't know which are primary and which are secondary) but one of the lower injectors had tape onthe top of it and the tape reeked of fuel is it a bad o ring possibly I also found the hesitation was also at any rpm over 5 lbs of boost even at 2000 rpm
Once again, the problem is a vacuum leak. In how many threads complaining about idle problems is the OP told to find vacuum leaks? When troubleshooting idle problems the first thing to eliminate as the problem should be vacuum leaks. There are so many places where a leak can happen and not just the vacuum lines.
